Measuring transmitter MAGFLO Siemens MAG 5000 processes acting signals from the electromagnetic flow sensor and provides the function of the inductance coil power supply in the electromagnetic flow sensor.
Principle of measuring of electromagnetic flow sensors is based on the Faraday's law on electromagnetic induction. This law says that in a conductor that moves in an electromagnetic field occurs an electromagnetic force (EMF). This force is proportional to the velocity of the conductor. Current induced EMF is called induction current. Flowing through the pipeline conductive liquid is the conductor in this case.
In an electromagnetic flowmeter there are also the source of the electromagnetic field (coil) and electrodes that transmit occurs induction current in the electronics module. The current value is judged on the amount of the expense of conducting liquid. Type measured medium is any conductive liquid (conductivity more than 5 µs/cm).
The transformers of MAGFLO MAG 5000 7ME6910 are easily configured using the menu system in multiple languages with the use of built-in keyboard and display and have proportional an expense output current and pulse-frequency signals, and also programmable relay output.
All electromagnetic MAGFLO flowmeters have a memory block SENSORPROM, in which gauge information of sensor and setting of transformer of signals is kept during all term of exploitation of device. At the use of SENSORPROM block the MAG 5000 is started in exploitation without the primary programming.
