Schneider Compact NSX 630 is a new generation of molded case circuit breakers with 630A current that can provide unrivaled safety and protection, power monitoring and measurement, energy savings, as well as simplicity and convenience in operation.

Let’s get a closer look at the NSX630 by Schneider.

Schneider Compact NSX Range. Description.

Schneider compact NSX are used to protect individual consumers, as well as group lines and networks at the points of connection to a low voltage source. NSX circuit breakers are available in 2 standard sizes covering all functionality in current ranges from 16A to 630A. One size of the NSX series works with currents up to 250A, the other - from 400A to 630A. The Compact NSX safety switch is used for standard mains operating voltages from 220V to 690V. Compact NSX circuit breakers have thermal magnetic and electronic disconnects that protect generators from overload and short circuits.

However, the task of protection against high currents is not limited to the above areas of use. In the event that it is required to protect the line from which a single motor is powered, or a whole group of asynchronous devices working together, the NSX circuit breakers will be the best solution in this situation. Compact NSX circuit breakers are a new generation of circuit breakers from Schneider Electric, which have MA, TM thermomagnetic trip units and Micrologic semiconductor trip units. Compact NSX circuit breakers provide protection against overload currents and short circuits of distribution networks, electrical equipment and long lines.

Advantages:

  • rated electric current 16-630A;
  • breaking capacity 36-150 kA at 415 V;
  • rated voltage up to 690 V AC;
  • two standard sizes are available (from 16 to 630 A);
  • three and four-pole execution;
  • auto power off;
  • a wide range of releases (electronic Micrologic, thermomagnetic TM, electromagnetic MA);
  • short circuit protection (Vigi module);
  • measurement of electrical indicators (I, U, P, E, THD, f, CosF);
  • a wide range of accessories and auxiliary devices;
  • easy installation with "Plug & Play" communication devices.

Areas of application:

  • industrial plants;
  • building;
  • hospitals;
  • industrial enterprises;
  • administrative and commercial buildings;
  • manufacturing industry;
  • ferrous metallurgy;
  • navy/airbases.

What is ComPact NSX 630?

Compact NSX630 Micrologic 2.3 as a part ComPact NSX series is a new range of molded case circuit breakers that combines high quality with small dimensions. The series was developed using innovative technologies and new solutions, such as the availability of communication and measurement capabilities. Thanks to them and consistent German quality, industrial circuit breakers of the Compact NSX series are an indispensable product in the field of electrical safety.

The power circuit breaker is a protective electrical equipment that automatically disconnects the network, while ensuring the safety of electrical installations in the event of short circuit currents or network overloads. Since at these moments a very large current arises, which disables the equipment and can lead to fire, it is very important to prevent disastrous consequences.

Magnetic releases are excellent for this purpose, with the ability to disconnect a load in less than a second when short circuit currents are detected. When choosing a circuit breaker, it is necessary to take into account the rated voltage, current, type and rated breaking capacity of the industrial circuit breaker.

Schneider Electric products are known worldwide for their reliability and consistent performance. They are made of non-combustible polymers, which have good resistance to ultraviolet rays and negative mechanical influences. Switch terminals are color coded for easier connection. Depending on the model, they can be connected to both solid and stranded wires. Schneider Electric circuit breakers have a noise compensator, thanks to which they can be used both in industrial buildings and in apartments and residential buildings.

Characteristics of the Compact NSX 630 series:

  1. rated current: from 630A;
  2. rated voltage: up to 690V;
  3. poles: 3, 4 (nsx630n 3p and nsx630n 4p);
  4. breaking capacity 25 to 150 kA.

The main differences between such machines such as MCCB NSX630N, NSX630F and others from previous series are the real-time display of current parameters in the network (information is supplied to the built-in LCD screen or to the panel indicator), as well as the recording of electricity consumption and chronological tables with an accurate record of time and date. These features allow Compact NSX circuit breakers to be used effectively in an automated power system, to give an alarm when the current is out of range, or simply to give a current reading.

Shneider offers different types of NSX 630 Compact:

  • nsx 630a
  • nsx 630f
