The Eltra absolute type determines a rotary encoder that arrives with a fieldbus user interface. This encoder can distinguish itself by its highest resolution. Eltra EA 58/63 series of single-turn solid shaft encoders meet the PROFIBUS DP standard and correspond to a predefined encoder profile. The Profibus DP version keeps the same highest permission (8192 pos. /Turn) and efficiency characteristics of the stand-alone variant, but appends the potential and versatility typical of a Profibus network.
