Compact valves are mechanical devices that control the flow and pressure of a liquid in a hydraulic or pneumatic system.  They are important components of a piping system that transports liquids, gases, vapors, dirt, etc.

What is a Pneumatic Valve?

A pneumatic valve is a small unit that is consigned to shift the course of motion of the concise air flow above lines of a pneumatic drive.  It is mechanical devices for adjusting and testing air.

Compact solenoid valve types

 Stop valves

  • valves with spherical spool
  • with guillotine scissors
  • with shutter

Control valve

  • needle unit
  • device with valve
  • piston device
  • throttle unit

Throttle valve

Mainly used to control fluid flow. Throttle valves are designed to provide excellent sealing. Large-diameter throttle units are often used for flange mounting, and those designed for heating circuits, for example, are usually screw-in valves. Throttle devices usually take up minimal space, especially when compared to units with spherical spool.

Valve with spherical spool

They are used to stop the flow of liquid. This is a quarter-speed valve that does not obstruct the flow of fluid in the open position. This unit is used for both liquids (water, oil,...) and gases. Some devices with spherical spool can also be equipped with a conical gate.

Devices with valve and piston units

These devices are particularly suitable for regulating fluids depending on the pressure in the pipe. Indeed, many valve actuators have a spring that allows the unit opening to be adjusted according to the pressure.

Needle valves

These units are used in particular to regulate low flow fluids or gaseous liquids. These are small diameter valves designed to operate at low pressure. They are often referred to as "cranes" and are usually managed manually. This type is common in everyday life and in the sampling of liquids.

Diaphragm valves

Mostly used in hygienic and aseptic processes, that is, when the circulating fluid must be isolated from any potential contamination.

Valves operate mainly in open/closed mode, although in some cases they can be used to control the flow of fluid. The tightness of these valves is excellent, as there is no direct contact between the liquid and the rod.

They are mainly used in the chemical industry and in the medical field. They are also often used in the chemical industry and in ultra-pure manufacturing, depending on the materials from which they are made, in particular the membrane material. Diaphragm valves are also suitable for sludge and highly viscous liquids.

Valve with guillotine scissors

Widely used in paper industry, chemical industry, mining industry, power plants and food industry. The advantage of these valves is that they are very compact due to the linear movement of the shut-off valve (the plate that blocks the flow of fluid in the closed position). A valve with guillotine scissors is a shut-off valve, although it can also be used as a control valve when the shut-off valve is in the intermediate zone.

Valves with guillotine scissors can be used for liquids loaded with solid particles, such as wastewater or sludge. Typically, valves with guillotine scissors are designed to seal on the inlet side of the circuit (on the fluid intake side), but some valves are sealed on both sides, allowing them to be used regardless of the direction of fluid flow.

UNIVER COMPACT VALVES
