Baumer magnetic sensors are used to detect changes in magnetic fields.
Such sensors use a special magnetoresistive element for measurements. They determine the position, angle and speed of an object.
Baumer Company produces four main types of products in this category:
- Magnetic proximity switches
- Magnetic cylinder sensors
- Magnetic angle measuring sensors
- Hall sensors
Magnetic proximity switches operate with magnetic fields at distances up to 60 mm. They measure even through hardened steel or other non-ferromagnetic materials.
Magnetic cylinder sensors are used for non-contact measuring of the pneumatic cylinders piston magnet in the piston movements. Such equipment simplifies connection to the standard T- or C-slots. They are also mounted on the outside of cylinders without any slots due to versatile kits.
Magnetic angle sensors detect the displacement of an object throughout all 360 degrees. A permanent magnet is used for such purpose. Equipment determines the absolute position of the object with an accuracy of 0.09 mm and with response time of 3 ms. Non-contact magnetic measurement technology allows them to work in difficult conditions with presence of dust, dirt, moisture, etc.
Hall sensors detect the movement of magnetic poles. They have a high switching frequency up to 20kZ that makes them indispensable in working with, for example, fast running toothed wheels. Sensors determine the speed and direction of objects movement. They also have an all-metal body.
Baumer magnetic sensors are the best solutions in situations with need of measurement changes in magnetic fields.
