How Do Control Valves Work?

Control valves are among the most common types of shut-off devices. Their main function is to change the pressure of the medium that passes through a certain pipeline system. Scope of these devices:

  • plumbing systems;
  • gas supply systems;
  • highways designed to move oil products and gaseous substances.

The material used for the manufacture of these fittings can be varied: brass, cast iron, steel, high-alloy alloys. The choice of a specific design depends on the pipeline system and the medium contained in it.

Depending on the features of the work, all control valves are divided into 2 types:

  1. with a Burkert control valve manual drive, where control takes place using a specially built-in steering wheel, which, if necessary, must be rotated by oneself;
