There are two types of IFM flow sensors:
- Thermal
- Mechatronic
Thermal flow sensor (Type SA) is a special unit for work in pipe systems with water, oils and air. One of its main feature is a built-in display 4-digit LED with which you can easily visualize results and make configurations. Such devices may operate in a wide range of diameters (from 25 to 400 mm). They also can control temperature value. Devices are configured via IO-link using multiple interfaces or manually. The units also use a LINERECORDER SENSOR software, which makes it easy to transfer and save settings and parameters.
Mechatronic flow sensor (Type SBY) is created for work with liquid materials like a water, oils, glycol and other coolants. Their principle of operation consists of the interaction of a spring and a piston. Such units have a robust housing and can be used in harsh conditions with high-pressure or temperature level (up to 180 °C).
