IFM Effector flow switches have a wide range of devices for different environments and applications.
There are two main categories of products, depending on the flow material type: for liquids and gases. IFM Efector produces the following series of switch for flow monitoring:
- Thermal
- Thermal for sanitary applications
- Remote mount
- Mechatronic switches for coolants
All series have two different lines for liquids and for gases.
Thermal flow switch (Type SI5) is a special series of flow sensors that monitors a flow rate in pipe systems. They have robust housing from stainless steel designed for work in harsh conditions. Series SI5 switch is a universal model for almost any industrial purpose.
Thermal flow switches (Type SI6) as a previous one are created to use in pipes. Their main feature is compliance with the requirements of sanitary applications. Such equipment has reliable housing with IP67/IP69K protection level and can operate in temperatures up to 120 °C.
Remote mount flow switches (Type SF, SN, SR) operate with additional evaluation units. Such evaluation systems can be installed in cabinets or have a direct mounting to measuring sensors by M12 connector. It will be a great solution for hazardous areas or small spaces.
Mechatronic flow switches (Type SBU) operate with liquid flows that used for drill cooling (water, glycol, oils and coolants). Such flow sensors work on the principle of a spring-loaded piston.
