A series connection reduces the voltage on each of the poles (the total voltage is divided depending on the type of circuit breaker: 2, 3 or 4), and all poles determine the breaking capacity of the device. This makes it possible to disable a short circuit in the DC network with an optimized solution. For example, a Compact NSX with 100 kA and 250 V per pole can be used on a 750 V network if all 3 poles are connected in series. Its cost is much lower than the cost of a 750 V apparatus.
  • The possibility of parallel connection of the poles of the Compact NSX series optimizes the use of circuit breakers according to their rated current.
