Compact NSX250 circuit breaker
The Compact NSX250 circuit breaker is still the standard in Compact NSX molded case circuit breakers. Its features made it possible to install and maintain the switchgear at a high quality level.
The ComPact NSX 250 units are equipped with magnetic, thermomagnetic, basic electronic trip units (NSX250 Micrologic 2.2) and advanced electronic trip units (MicroLogic 5.6) which provide built-in measurement and communication functions.
These devices can protect against insulation faults with built-in earth leakage protection.
VIGI NSX 250 can be easily installed at all levels of distribution systems, from the main low voltage switchboard to the sub-distribution boards and cases.
MCCB NSX250 provides maximum service continuity and savings through an unrivaled level of selectivity:
- Thanks to the high measurement accuracy, overload selectivity is ensured even between very close ratings;
- In case of serious faults, the fast processing by the Micrologic trip units means that the upstream device can anticipate the response of the downstream device. An upstream switch adjusts the trip delay to ensure selectivity.
- In the event of very severe faults, the arc energy dissipated in the event of a short circuit in the downstream circuit breaker causes a reflex trip. The current taken by the upstream device is significantly limited. There is not enough energy to trip, so selectivity is maintained regardless of the short-circuit current.
