PET 650 is designed to work with high voltage distribution networks. Such device has installed functions to protect both double-winding and three-winding transformers. It can also regulate the voltage in a single one and work with a pair of transformers systems.

The IED 650 series is an intelligent electronic device and has many useful built-in functions. Such equipment has a reduced number of parameter settings and enhanced IED HMI functionality, including 15 dynamic three-color LED indicators per page. It has customizable keyboard shortcuts for various actions.

IED RET650 belongs to the Relion® family by ABB, which includes protection and control units. This means that it is fully compatible with other devices, using EU standard 61850.
