ABB Profibus DP RPBA 01 PROFIBUS adapter (art. 64606859) for ACS800 drives. The device is an open serial communication standard that enables data exchange between all kinds of automation.
The physical transmission medium of the bus is twisted pair (according to the RS-485 standard). The maximum bus cable length is 100 to 1200 meters, depending on the selected baud rate (see chapter "Technical data"). In one segment PROFIBUS network can connect up to 31 nodes without the use of repeaters. Using repeaters can be connected to the network 127 nodes (including repeaters and the master station).
