The HMC16 from Baumer is a bearingless incremental encoder that uses magnetic touch sensing and connected signal processing. The system consists of a rotor (HMCR16) and a stator with a sensor unit (HMCK16) as well as connected signal processing (HMCP16). This encoder is characterized by high reliability and wear resistance, which allows for very high speeds of up to 25000 rpm.

  • Consumption: typically 200 mA (at 15 VDC)
  • Output signals: SinCos 1 Vpp, HTL, TTL, TTL/HTL (galvanically isolated)
  • Output signal frequency: up to 300 kHz (HTL), up to 2 MHz (TTL), up to 400 kHz (SinCos)
  • Pulses per revolution: 128 ... 65536
  • Dimensions: encoder flange ø158 mm, signal processing dimensions 122 x 122 x 80 mm
  • Shaft type: through hollow shaft ø25...60 mm
