Burkert Mass Flow Meters are a temperature sensor for determining the mass flow rate of gas consist of a heating spiral and temperature sensors. They are installed either in the gas flow and outside it. A heating element increase the temperature of the gas, and temperature sensors control the amount of heat removed. The number of heat removed is a criterion of the factual mass gas flow consumption. If to talk about the concept of mass flow, then it means mass, in other words the weight of the flowing medium. In our particular case, this is the weight of the gas passing through the appliance for a certain time period. The using of Mass Flow Meters is most suitable where high precision and reproducibility are required, e.g. Throughout distillation, surface handling or in fuel cell technique.
