The Burkert 8630 Top Control electro-pneumatic positioner/PID controller is used for regulating pneumatic control valves. The 8630 Top Control positioner is mounted on Burkert control valves of the 2702/2712 series.
Along with the pneumatic actuator, it forms an optical and functional unit. Due to its numerous software functions, the TopControl Continuous Type 8630 can also be used as a process controller with PID characteristics. In this case, the process control loop is superimposed on the positioner loop in a cascade structure.
