The Edwards E2M0.7 100-120V, 1-ph, 50/60Hz, IEC 60320 connectors vacuum pump is a two-stage oil sealed rotary vane pump. The pump has an oil distribution valve that prevents oil from draining into the pump (suction back) after the pump is stopped. The pump chambers are sealed, so this arrangement prevents oil backflow if the gas ballast valve is not open.
