The Edwards STP-iXA2206C ISO250F vacuum pump is an oil-free turbomolecular pump with a magnetically suspended rotor. The sixth generation pump is produced in a chemically resistant design. A thin nickel-based protective layer is applied to the rotor surface, which prevents the destructive effects of aggressive substances on the materials from which the rotor is made, and also minimizes its abrasive damage.
