Eltra multi-turn optical encoder EAM 58 63 A B C D E features a solid shaft and diameter in line with the PROFIBUS DP. Multi-turn encoders gauge the rotation degree within 360 and track the number of total revolutions of the encoder’s shaft utilizing a unique word for all position and revolutions. The Profibus DP Eltra encoder has a fine resolution (8192 Pos/rev) and improved accuracy similar to the basic version, but joins the volume and flexibility typical of a Profibus DP network.
