Absolute encoder allows a unique digital code for every angular position of the shaft. This stores the meaning of the present position. This prevents loss of information in the event of a restart of the system or loss of power. The optical encoders operate on a power-saving system that is powered by the Wiegand effect. No power or battery is needed in the design of this system.
