The optical multiturn encoder EAM 58 -EAM 63 has a continuous shaft and diameter compliant with the PROFIBUS DP. Multi-rotation encoders measure the degree of rotation within 360 and track the number of total revolutions of the encoder’s shaft using an unusual word for all position and amount of turnovers. Eltra encoder with Profibus DP diameter has a fine resolution and higher efficiency similar to the standard version, but adds the extra volume and versatility typical of a Profibus DP network.
