The EC34 Incremental linear encoder with auto backlash recovery. This type of encoder was created to ease linear applications instead of linear incremental system and to bridge the issues of dimensions over long distances. The encoder, enclosed in a robust aluminum body is produced with a preload system which let the auto restoration of slack between the gear and rack.
