The lines are organized into three main groups:

• NJ8-G group: The sensors in this group are designed for general applications such as presence detection, distance detection, and sizing. They offer a wide range of operating distances, sensitivities, and operating temperatures.
• Group NJ8-K: Sensors in this group are designed for sophisticated applications such as detecting metal or non-metal objects, detecting low-inductance parts, or detecting direction of motion. They offer a wide range of functions such as polarity, differential detection, and tilt detection.
• NJ8-M group: The sensors in this group are designed for aggressive environments such as chemical and food production. They offer a wide range of temperature ratings and chemical resistance.

• Differential detection: NJ8 sensors can be used to detect a change in the inductance of an object. This allows them to be used for applications such as defect detection, quality control, and other applications.
• Slope detection: NJ8 sensors can be used to detect the inclination of an object. This allows them to be used for applications such as safety inspection, quality control, and other applications.
