Pepperl Fuchs pvm58n is a multiturn absolute rotary encoder manufactured for precise position and speed measurement in industrial applications. Housed in a standard 58 mm diameter aluminum casing, it features a clamping flange and a 10 mm solid stainless steel shaft. The encoder offers a total resolution of 25 bits, comprising 13 bits for single-turn and 12 bits for multi-turn measurements. It supports a PROFIBUS interface with transfer rates ranging from 9.6 kbit/s to 12 Mbit/s, and includes extended scaling functions, programmable limit switches, and a commissioning mode.
