The Pepperl+Fuchs VDM28 Distance sensor line is a series of photoelectric sensors used to measure the distance to objects. It consists of 12 models that differ in characteristics and applications.

Datasheet of VDM28:

• Sensitivity: 1 to 200 mV/lux
• Output signal: PNP, NPN, NO, NC
• Supply voltage: 12 or 24 V DC

The VDM28 line consists of the following series:

• VDM28-8-L1 is the basic series, which has a measuring range from 25 to 500 mm.
• VDM28-15-L1 is a modification of the basic series, which has a measuring range from 25 to 1500 mm.
• VDM28-L1-IO is a series of sensors that have a built-in IO-Link interface.
• VDM28-L1-F is a series of sensors that have a built-in noise filter.
• VDM28-L1-T is a series of sensors with a built-in thermostat.
