Siemens Soft starter 3RW40 is intended for high power 250 Kilowatt asynchronous motors. The device provides light start-up, protects the motor against overload, reduces the current expenditure, cheaper than use of the equipment. The data models are equipped with features out-and-outer to this output range: semiconductor engine overload protection and inbuilt protection devices, adjustable current limitative and 2-phase monitoring method (polarity balance). The Soft starters 3RW40 are part of the SIRIUS modular system. Consequently, they have pinpoint sizes and wiring diagrams. Due to its special dense dimensions, SIRIUS 3RW40 soft starters are half the size of star-delta starters, so they take at limited place in the monitoring cabinet. Together with the contactor, they are used as protective infinite union for starting engines.
