The Sirius 3RW40 soft starter is designed for high power 250 Kilowatt asynchronous motors. The device give light start, protects the engine against overload, reduces power expenditure, which makes the use of equipment low-priced. These models use features unusual to this capacity range: solid-state engine overload defense and integral protection devices, controllable current limitative and control the 2-phase technique (polarity balance). The Soft starters 3RW40 are part of the SIRIUS modular system. Consequently, they have identical dimensions and connection diagrams. Due to its particularly dense size, Siemens soft starters are half the dimension of star-delta starters, thereby they take at limited space in the control cabinet. At the contactor, they are used as safety-free starting combinations for starting motors.
