The Sirius 3RW40 soft starter is designed for high power induction engines (up to 250 Kilowatt). The soft starter provides light start, protects the motor from overloads, reduces the current consumption, cheaper than use of the facilities. The data models use features unusual to this capacity diapason: semiconductor motor overburden defense and built-in protection devices, controllable current limitative and control the two-phase technique (polarity balance). Siemens 3RW40 soft starters are part of the SIRIUS modular system. Consequently, they have identical sizes and wiring schemes.
