Proximity sensor

Festo SME proximity sensor is a cylindrical switch with magnetic reed contact for a circular groove. Designed for installation in a round groove. It is installed in the groove from above or longitudinally.\

Reed position sensors contain a sealed contact that reacts to the approach of a magnetic field, which causes a change in the output signal. SME sensors are mainly used where high load currents need to be switched (eg direct control of electrical output devices).

The body of the SME-10 sensors is made of alloyed stainless steel and PPS (polyphenylene sulfide, "ceramic plastic"). The cable sheath material is thermoplastic polyurethane.
