Air Vent

Spirax Sarco AVC32 carbon steel balanced-pressure thermostatic air vent is a maintainable unit for steam systems, featuring straight connections and an integral flat strainer. Pressure-containing components are manufactured by T?V-approved suppliers in accordance with AD-Merkblatt WO / TRD100.

AVC32 Spirax Sarco is a repairable capsule air vent with a steel body and integrated filter for steam systems. It is designed for installation on steam-consuming equipment or steam lines to vent air and prevent air locks and air pockets.

DN and connections:

• ½", ¾", and 1" BSP or NPT threads.
• ½", ¾", and 1" socket weld ends to BS 3799.
• ½", ¾", and 1" butt weld ends to EN 12 627
• DN15, DN20, and DN25 standard flanges to EN 1092 PN40,
• ASME (ANSI) B 16.5 class 150 and 300.

The working element of the air vent is a sealed capsule containing a small amount of a special liquid with a boiling point lower than that of water. When cold, the capsule is compressed, the ball does not adhere to the seat, allowing air to escape freely.

Steam approaching the capsule heats the liquid in the capsule, causing it to boil. The expanding vapor of the liquid bends the plate with the attached ball, and the ball closes the hole
