Spirax Sarco BT6-B is a high-tech thermostatic stainless steel steam trap specifically designed for sterile and clean steam systems. Its design minimizes the risk of bacterial contamination and ensures rapid drainage of condensate and air.

This model is ideal for use in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and food industries (SIP processes, autoclaves, sterilizers, and cooking vessels).

bt6 Spirax Sarco features:

1. The smooth internal surface (standard finish Ra≤0.5 μm) prevents sediment accumulation, ensuring hygienic operation.
2. The housing design, when installed vertically, ensures complete drainage of condensate, eliminating stagnant areas.
3. Constructed of 316L stainless steel. The capsule is also made of stainless steel.
4. Conforms to ASME BPE standards and is suitable for use in FDA-compliant systems.

Operating Principle: 
The device uses a thin-walled capsule filled with a special liquid. It reacts to temperature: it opens in the presence of cold air or condensate and closes tightly when the steam temperature is reached (usually within 1-2°C of the saturation point).
