Spirax Sarco FT 125 steam trap contains a float valve mechanism that regulates continuous condensate drainage at steam temperature, while non-condensable gases are vented through a separate internal thermostatic air vent with equalized pressure.
FT-125 steam traps are easy to maintain because they can be serviced without disturbing the piping connections. However, before any maintenance, it is imperative to completely isolate the trap from both the supply and return lines.
Periodic disassembly of the trap is necessary for a thorough inspection and cleaning of the valve head, seat, control mechanism, and air vent. Any worn or damaged components should be replaced using the air vent assembly or the complete valve mechanism assembly.
Spare parts include a float kit, a set of 3 gaskets, a valve mechanism assembly, and an air vent assembly.
