Ball Float Steam Trap

Spirax Sarco FT14 is a float and thermostatic steam trap developed for industrial steam installations requiring continuous condensate discharge and dependable performance.

The Spirax Sarco FT14 series are highly reliable steam traps with a ball float and a built-in thermostatic air vent. The body is made of ductile iron (SG Iron), and all internal components are made of stainless steel.

This series ensures continuous condensate drainage immediately after its formation at steam saturation temperature. These units are ideal for systems with automatic temperature control and modulating pressure, where system loads can fluctuate rapidly.

Versions:

1. FT14-C: Version with a built-in needle valve for manual steam lock release (Steam Lock Release - SLR).
2. FT14-X: Version with a built-in mesh filter to protect the mechanism.

The Spirax Sarco FT14 series offers the following distinctive features:

• The integrated automatic air vent with the BP99/32 capsule ensures quick system startup and effective removal of air and non-condensable gases, ensuring efficient air venting.
• These models feature universal mounting and are available in horizontal flow configurations: left-to-right (L-R) or right-to-left (R-L).
• These traps are easy to maintain. Their design allows for inspection and repair of internal components without removing the housing from the pipeline.
• They operate reliably even under high backpressure in the condensate line.

The steam trap must be installed so that the float arm is horizontal, ensuring vertical movement of the float. The flow direction must correspond to the arrow on the body.

Spirax Sarco FT14 4.5

ft14 4.5 spirax sarco version is designed for low-pressure systems.

• Maximum differential pressure (ΔPMX): 4.5 bar.
• Features: Built-in mechanism with the largest seat opening, allowing for the removal of significant volumes of condensate at relatively low steam pressures.
• Application: Ideal for heat exchangers, air heaters, and cooking vessels operating at low pressures.

Spirax Sarco FT14 10

ft14 10 spirax is the most versatile and frequently used version for medium loads.

• Maximum differential pressure (ΔPMX): 10 bar.
• Features: Balanced solution between flow capacity and operating pressure.
• Application: Suitable for most standard industrial processes where the operating steam pressure does not exceed 10 bar.
