Tecofi Knife Gate Valve

Tecofi Knife Gate Valve is a gate valve with a knife disc, designed to reliably shut off and regulate the flow of media containing high concentrations of solids, sludge, fibers, or viscous mixtures. This type of valve minimizes material retention and prevents clogging due to its sharp cutting edge.

These valves are often used in wastewater treatment systems, the pulp and paper industry, chemical and food processing, and in the transportation of slurries and slurry flows.

Tecofi Knife Gate Valve Datasheet:

• Diameters: DN 50 … DN 600 for the VG 3400 series (cast iron)
• Body: Cast iron for VG 3400, ductile iron for VG 4400 models
• Stem Type: Rising stem
• Soft seal (elastomer-based) for abrasion resistance; metal seat optional
• Design: Monobloc body, between flanges PN10 (Wafer type)
• Flow Direction: One-way tightness (flow direction indicated by an arrow on the body)
• Test pressure: For DN50–250: body up to 15 bar, seat up to 11 bar; for DN300–450: body up to 10.5 bar, seat up to 7.7 bar; For DN500–600: body up to 6 bar, seat up to 4.4 bar
• Media: Water, wastewater, pulps, abrasive and crystallizing slurries, granular/fibrous media
• Design features: Low retention zone, cutting edge, minimal guide clearance, reduced drive force due to elastic seals
• Actuators: Handwheel, pneumatic actuator possible / ISO mounting for actuator
• Standards and tests: according to EN12266-1, DIN 3230, BS 5154, ISO 5208
• Connection type: ISO / EN flanges (between flanges) PN10
• Applications: Wastewater treatment plants, slag transport, chemical industry, paper production, pulp systems
