Baumer ultrasonic sensor photoUltrasonic sensors determine the position of an object using an ultrasonic signal.

The products manufactured by the German company divided into two main categories: Ultrasonic Proximity and Distance sensors.

Proximity sensors have several operating principles depending on the models. Proximity switches are the simplest model. It consists of a converter and a receiver integrated in one housing. Retro-reflective sensors works the same way with any sound-reflecting object. Through-beam sensors have two separate housings with a transmitter and receiver.

Distance sensors measure the distance to an object without contact. The devices have an internal potentiometer. It allows a user to set the output resolution. The company produces models with built-in D / a- converter. Long-cable devices are available to count EMI or RFI interference.

In addition to the main series, the company also manufactures accessories for them. Optional equipment includes connectors / pin assignment, mounting accessories and kits SENSOFIX.

Baumer hubner ultrasonic sensors are capable of accurate non-contact measurements even in the most polluted environments.
