EMOTRON VFX 2.0: the best decision for highly dynamic mechanisms.
21.03.2017
Emotron (CG Drives&automation) is a Swiss producer, focused on solutions for starting, control, protection, monitoring and stopping of the equipment and processes running on electric motors.
The main groups of produced equipment are universal AC drives, soft starters, shaft power monitors and heat exchanger drives.
Emotron VFX 2.0 is the series of universal drives, specially developed for precision control of speed and torque of induction motors. They ideally befit for high-dynamic mechanisms, such as mills, mixers, crushers, hoists and others.
The basic feature of these converters is the use of Direct Torque Control (DTC) function that allows to support the high moment of spades on small speeds, and also to provide the instantaneous and soft starting and stop.
Thus, the series of Emotron VFX 2.0 drives can be named as the perfect alternative to expensive servomechanisms and actuators with DC motors. Due to a high fast-acting the frequency converter compares the current time with the given 40,000 times per second. The response time to the change time of 1 MS and an accuracy of maintenance of speed is 0.1% without a sensor and 0.01% with encoder (conventional vector control reaction time is 50 - 100 MS and an accuracy of 1 - 2%).
Emotron VFX 2.0 drives are executed in the metal case, IP 54 for powers up to 132 kW, IP 54 for powers from 11 to 132 kW. The devices of greater power have a construction with the protection degree IP20, consisting of the separate power modules without combining the DC link.
Each module includes rectifier and inverter unit, throttle of direct-current, fast-acting safety devices, the cooling fan and the appropriate control system. Such chart provides unsurpassed stability of the system to the possible refuses of its separate elements. Ease of installation and lining allows you to quickly install the inverter with power up to 3000 kW.
